Official Election Mail
In order to better serve the voters of Nevada, the Secretary of State has produced this page to help identify what mail is official election mail sent by the Secretary of State, Federal government and local Election Officials, and what is mail sent by a private third-party organization.
How to know if something is official Election Mail:

The Nevada State Voter Registration Application may come in different forms, depending on which agency is providing the form. Generally, the form prescribed by the Secretary of State features the state seal and an application number in the upper right-hand corner of the form:

Non-Official Election Mail, or Third-Party Mailings:
Occasionally, third-party organizations may send targeted mailings to get citizens to register to vote for the first time, or to update their voter registration information. Even though these mailings may use the return address information of the Secretary of State or a county elections office, they may not be affiliated with that office. Here is an example below. This mailing is paid for by Engage Nevada (note gray type at the bottom of the page, circled in red).

Who to contact to update a deceased relative’s voter registration:
Connect with the county election official where the deceased relative was registered to vote. You will need to provide a copy of their Death Certificate for the deceased’s registration to be cancelled. How a voter can update voting information online:
Online voter registration is available for residents of all Nevada counties at Registertovote.nv.gov. Eligible voters can register to vote and update their voter registration information online, including change of address and party affiliation. How a voter can cancel their voter registration online:
The Secretary’s online voter registration portal can be used to cancel a voter’s registration as well at Registertovote.nv.gov and Voter Registration Search (nvsos.gov).
