*IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING CANDIDATE BANK ACCOUNTS*

1. Candidates must open bank accounts within 1 week of receiving $100.00. If candidates do not receive any donations, they do not have to open a separate account. If candidates do receive $100.00, even the week before a general election, they will have to open an account within 1 week:  NRS 294A.130.
2. Candidates using personal funds for their campaign must track and report these funds as a contribution to their campaign according to NAC 294A.041(a)(b).
3. The Secretary of States office cannot recommend one bank over another. Each bank has different requirements, and candidates will need to work with their bank on the requirements for opening accounts.
