November 2024 Release Notes
This notice is to inform the customers of the Business License Portal November 21st, 2024, software updates. This update features items that improve the system functionality, ensures adherence to Nevada Regulatory Statutes (NRS), and provides enhancements that you, the consumer, have been asking for via surveys and correspondence with the office of the Secretary of State.
What's New
Shopping Cart:
- When Customers added a Common Business Registration (CBR) line item to their shopping cart but changed their mind, they were unable to delete the item. Now, customers have the ability to delete the CBR line item if they decide they no longer want to submit it.
- When a customer creates a new Title-7 entity they are able to add the Common Business Registration and sub items. If the customer elected to Delete the state filing and not continue the sub items did not delete with it. Now, the Customer can delete the master state filing and all the sub items.
NEVADA REVISED STATUTES (NRS) Compliance.

Online Users will no longer be allowed to name change when filing reinstatement or revival WHEN the original name is available. IF their original name is no longer available they will be permitted to change their name.

Also with this release,Non-Title 7 (NT7) names in use will not affect Title 7 (T7) available name search. (NT7 and T7 businesses can have the same name)

GENERAL
UCC Federal Tax Lien Search

Online users can now request UCC Federal Tax Lien Search and Copies.
Officer Information

New Online User error message when Formation filings are entered without Officer Information.
* Example of system error message and email the user will receive if they attempt to file without Officer Information.
Limited Partnership Amendment
- Online Users will see two changes when filing a Limited Partnership Amendment:
- The “Titles” available for users to choose have been reduced to the ONLY acceptable option ‘General Partner’.
- The printable output now has the required signature line.
Review Screen Accuracy
- The Review Screen is now displaying the correct stock value entered under Stock section during New Business Formation as expected.

Please note, as a reminder the office of Commercial Recordings no longer accepts ANY ‘NT7 Other’ applications. In May 2023 we announced we will no longer accept NT7 Other applications and took this option off the application. We encourage our customers to file either Sole Proprietorship or General Partnership. If they do not fall into either of these categories, they must file according to Title 7 requirements. If you have questions, please contact Customer Service.
