(Carson City, NV; December 4, 2018) – Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports a record-setting 1,585,995 Nevadans were registered as active voters at the end of November 2018. Since the last time active voter registration data was published on October 20, 2018, capturing statistics from the October 18th deadline to register to vote in the November 2018 general election, an additional 25,067 Nevadans have registered to vote, which is an increase of 1.61%.
Democratic Party active registered voters statewide increased by 10,975 (1.83%), and Republican Party active registered voters statewide increased by 6,068 (1.16%). Nonpartisan active registered voters increased by 6,297 (1.84%), Independent American Party active registered voters increased by 1,197 (1.77%), and Libertarian Party of Nevada active registered voters increased by 310 (1.99%). Active registered voters from a compilation of “other” minor political parties increased by 220 (1.55%).
Of the 1,585,995 active registered voters in Nevada:
• 609,149 (38.41%) are Democrats;
• 529,319 (33.37%) are Republicans;
• 348,352 (21.96%) are Nonpartisan;
• 68,841 (4.34%) are members of the Independent American Party;
• 15,898 (1.00%) are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada; and
• 14,436 (0.91%) are members of other minor political parties.
