(Carson City, NV; January 8, 2013) – Secretary of State Ross Miller reminds candidates and public officers that the deadline to file the fifth and final campaign contributions and expenses (C&E) report and financial disclosure statements (FDS) for the year is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. All C&E reports must be filed electronically through the Secretary of State’s Aurora campaign finance disclosure database, which will then be immediately available on the website to the general public.

C&E Report #5 covers campaign contributions and expenses from November 2, 2012 to December 31, 2012. Candidates are required to file even if they received no contributions or spent any funds during the respective reporting periods. Candidates who lost in either the primary or general election are also required to file all five C&E reports.

All public officers, pursuant to NRS Chapter 281, are required to file an FDS with the Secretary of State by January 15 of each year.
